Customizing your physical therapy treatment

Rehabilitation from a sports injury requires understanding of the musculoskeletal system and medical expertise. Many athletes struggle from pain that can't be correlated to an obvious injury. It takes an expert to understand the underlying mechanics that can cause such an injury, diagnose it accurately, and treat it correctly.

During your initial appointment, we'll complete a comprehensive examination of the body to determine the exact cause of pain and the type of injury you're dealing with. Through this careful examination, we will begin to develop your custom treatment plan. Often, this involves stretching overly tight muscles while strengthening weak or inactive muscles and applying this alongside overall body conditioning. By following this treatment plan, the patient will recover quickly and reduce the risk for re-injury in the future.

Putting our physical therapy patients first

At Absaroka Pain & Rehab, we put patients first. With every consultation we schedule, we make it a priority to take the time to truly understand our patient's needs and approach their case with curiosity every single time. We answer all of your questions, address any concerns you may have, and never, ever rush. We believe our calling is one of service, and that's exactly what we do.

Our team of experts works collaboratively to cover every aspect of a patient's case and overall health. Once we have a clear understanding of the required treatment, we'll begin working with the patient. This doesn't always mean post-injury. In many cases, we help athletes improve their performance before they sustain a serious injury and help them to continue the sport they love. If you or a loved one is in need of sports rehab treatment, give us a call at (406) 587-8446.

More than just medication

More than just medication

Sports injuries can be scary, but they don't have to mean the end of your physical pursuits. With the right approach, you can rehabilitate your body, strengthen your mechanics, and get back to doing what you love most. Our physical therapists use their extensive knowledge of the body to create a rehabilitation plan for you that doesn't rely strictly on medication to relieve pain, but true healing.

While medication can help with sports rehab treatment in relieving pain, it won't treat the injury itself. If mediation is required, the most effective treatment is a mixture of physical therapy as well as the medication. People who only rely solely on pain medication for treatment over long periods of time will find that they need more of the pain medication for the desired effect. Eventually the drug will no longer work on the patient. This approach means that while the patient's tolerance progresses, their physical wellbeing does not. Personally, we demand better for our patients.

At Absaroka Pain and Rehab, believe in utilizing physical therapy as well as other chiropractic treatments to help rehabilitate our patients for a healthier lifestyle. Some of the treatment options we provide include:

  • Spinal decompression
  • Physical therapy
  • Muscle imbalance correction
  • Pinched nerve treatment
  • Chronic back pain treatment
  • Treating pain/sprains in ankle, knee or shoulder, etc.
  • Instability in joints from old injuries or inactive tissues

These are only a few of the possible treatments that we offer. The actual treatment for the patient may involve one or multiple techniques depending on the patient's unique condition and injury.
